Seth W. Arkow was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from GlenOak High School in 1990 and was active in the school’s instrumental music and debate programs.
Seth continued his education at Ohio Northern University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Public Relations and Pre-Law and a minor in Business Management. He also maintained a role in the University’s music and debating programs. Seth also became a member of Theta Chi fraternity where, later, he would become Alumni President.
He graduated from Ohio Northern in 1994 and then enrolled in the University’s College of Law, where he tailored his studies around Domestic Relations, Litigation and Criminal Law, interning for several years at the Hancock County Public Defenders office.
Seth graduated from law school in 1997 and moved back to Canton, where he worked for Attorney Samuel J. Ferruccio. While working for Mr. Ferruccio, Seth honed his skills as a litigator and as a negotiator.
In 2000, Seth opened his law firm in Canton and began to focus on cases involving Divorce, Dissolution, Child Custody, Support and Criminal matters and is actively involved with the Stark County Bar Association, serving for the past twenty-five years on the Family Law Committee as well as the Criminal Law Committee.
Seth believes in giving back to the community that helped to raise him. Seth has served on the Board of Directors of the Camp Tuscazoar Foundation for the past eight years, a former Boy Scout camp that serves youth in Stark, Tuscarawas and neighboring counties. Seth is a volunteer with Scout Pack and Troop 127 in Plain Township where he served as Cubmaster for 13 years. Additionally he plays trombone every holiday season for various groups in the surrounding area. Seth also serves as the “Voice of the Saints”, providing music and announcing for Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School Football, Softball, Baseball and Basketball games.
Seth is married to his wife Melissa and enjoys spending time with his family including stepsons Zane, Garrett and Jacob along with his family’s dog Willow who is prominently displayed as the unofficial logo of his office. Seth loves to hike, explore new destinations with his family, attend baseball, football and basketball games in Cleveland and Pittsburgh and he also is a professional DJ providing music and fun for weddings, youth gatherings, and parties.
